This link will open in a new window IdaTech is developing fuel cell systems and fuel processing systems for both stationary and portable electric generation. And no, they don't do it by sticking electrodes into potatoes, smart guy. Fuel cells use hydrogen and oxygen to produce electricity without combustion and resulting pollutants. The technology was originally conceived in the 19th century and now is being brought to fruition as a way to replace fossil fuels. The company has offices in Germany and the US and is developing fuel cells for the US Army and the US Navy , and for telecommunications, commercial, and industrial power backup applications.
