Huthwaite was founded by Neil Rackham, the author of SPIN Selling, a book based on his research study of successful selling and sales effectiveness. Huthwaite became a division of Informa plc in 2005 after the acquisition of Huthwaite's former parent company IIR (Institute of International Research).
