The company is a leading manufacturer of office furniture in the US, and its brand portfolio includes HON, Allsteel, Gunlocke, Maxon, Paoli, and HBF, among others. Products are marketed to furniture dealers, wholesalers, and retail superstores, including OfficeMax, Office Depot, and Staples. (The furniture division generates about 80% of sales.) HNI's Hearth & Home Technologies unit is one of the largest US makers of wood- and gas-burning fireplaces for the home. The company has distribution partners in more than 50 countries, but the majority of its products are sold in Canada and the US.
