The two hospital system includes the flagship Heritage Valley Beaver hospital in Beaver, Pennsylvania, with about 360 beds and a smaller facility in nearby Sewickley with roughly 185 beds. In addition to its acute-care facilities, the system operates several satellite facilities and provides primary care through a network of four affiliated physician groups. Heritage Valley Health System was formed in 1996 when the two hospitals merged, but it has roots going back to 1894.
