Hercules Offshore, through its subsidiaries, provides shallow-water drilling and liftboat services to major integrated energy companies and independent oil and natural gas exploration and production companies. It owns and operates a fleet of 20 jackup rigs and three submersible rigs in the Gulf of Mexico; 11 jackup rigs and one platform rig outside the Gulf; and six conventional and 11 posted barge rigs that operate inland, as well as 45 self-propelled, self-elevating liftboats.
