Company Description
Heartland Co-op offers agricultural products and services for its central Iowa member/farmers. The cooperative operates 50 grain elevators and service centers. Heatland offers agronomy products and services, such as seed treatments and alfalfa fertilization; grain drying, storage, and merchandising; petroleum products for farm vehicles and home heating; livestock and pet feed; and personal and crop credit and financing. Headquartered in West Des Moines, Heartland was formed in 1987 when cooperatives in Dallas Center, Minburn and Panora merged. There have been some 13 subsequent mergers that have seen Heartland grow to become a 4,500-member agricultural cooperative.
