Harlan Laboratories (formerly Harlan Sprague Dawley) is where scientists go when they need rats for the maze. Among other things, the research company produces laboratory animals and laboratory animal diets. The company is comprised of two operating groups. The Research Models group provides rodents and large animals, animal diets and bedding, and testing services to pharmaceutical and biotech companies, universities, and government agencies. The Contract Research Services division provides researchers with analytical chemistry services, toxicology services, and chemical and agrochemical registration.
