The boutique buyout firm focuses on middle market US-based companies in health care, consumer products, services, and manufacturing sectors. Current investments include vision correction services provider LCA Vision and Symmetry Medical, which develops devices for the health care industry. The firm was founded in 1992 by Douglas Wheat and Robert Haas, who also publishes books about African wildlife and donates proceeds to help preserve endangered species.
