Groupe Legris Industries has a leg up when it comes to industrial equipment and turnkey plant engineering. Its Savoye unit designs and builds logistics systems for warehousing and distribution centers, and operates throughout Europe. The Keyria unit designs systems to help build factories that make products for the building industry. The third unit, Clextral, designs and manufactures automated production lines from start to finish. Legris is present in over 75 countries with 40 sales subsidiaries in Africa, Asia, Europe, Oceania, and the US. Holding company Frégate SAS controls about 60% of Legris; Chequers Capital owns more than a quarter. The company was established in 1848 as a small valve factory in France.
