Eurotunnel owns and operates the 31-mile Channel Tunnel, or Chunnel, and its rail shuttle system, which moves trucks, passenger cars, and buses beneath the English Channel between Folkestone, UK, and Calais/Coquelles, France. Vehicle shuttle operations account for the majority of sales; in addition, freight and passenger rail (operated by Eurostar) use the tunnel to connect the UK with the European continent.
