Griffin Industries takes what no one else wants to deal with and renders it useful. The company gathers up the inedible scraps and waste from meat-processing plants and grocery stores, used cooking oils and waste from restaurants and bakeries, and even just plain old dead farm animals. It then turns these into animal feed, fertilizer, tanned leather, solvents, industrial oils and fats, and alternative fuel for vehicles. (Its biodiesel is created from spent cooking oil, so exhaust from vehicles using the fuel can smell like french fries.) Griffin's products are sold around the world.
