The company makes and sells plastic footwear for men, women, and children. It produces more than 145 million pairs of shoes each year, including flipflops and athletic footwear, at about a dozen factories in Brazil. Grendene brands include Melissa, Rider, Ipanema, and Bad Boy Fight. Its shoes are sold primarily in Brazil through distributors and sales partners; foreign subsidiaries Grendha Shoes (US), Saddle Calzados (Argentina), and Saddle Corp. (Uruguay) distribute its products abroad. Another subsidiary, Ilhabela, sells shoes specifically for young women.
