As a Coca-Cola bottler, Great Plains Coca-Cola Bottling Company slakes thirsts of folks who live on on the dusty plains of the US. Founded in 1922, Great Plains distributes Coke products, as well as selected Dr Pepper products, throughout central and northeast Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas. It also operates a vending machine service under the name Snappy Snack Vending, which supplies customers with coffee, food, soft drinks, and other snacks. The company was the first Coke bottler to use water-purification as part of its process. Great Plains was acquired in early 2012 by Coca-Cola Refreshments USA for approximately $360 million.
