Since its founding in 1963, Glock has supplied more than 2.5 million pistols to armies (starting with its home country), law enforcement and other government customers, and civilians in more than 100 countries. Named after founder Gaston Glock, the company offers more than 20 pistol models under the Glock name. It also markets field knives, entrenching tools, and apparel. Glock has operations in Austria, Hong Kong, Uruguay, the United Arab Emirates, and the US. The largest seller of firearms to US law enforcement agencies, Glock has been under fire (along with other gun manufacturers) for its opposition to safety and gun distribution regulation.
