Gillig Corporation's business is building buses. The company makes heavy-duty buses for mass transit systems. Gillig offers two main models, the BRT and the Low Floor, in multiple lengths and widths. It also builds the Trolley, a replica of an old fashioned cable car. The company produces mostly diesel-powered buses, but it also manufactures a variety of alternative-fuel models, including one that uses a hybrid diesel-electric engine made by General Motors. It has the capacity to turn out as many as 1,300 vehicles annually.
