Georgetown Hospital System may be set amidst the Antebellum grace of the South, but its health care services are far from antiquated. The system on the southeast coast of South Carolina operates Georgetown Memorial Hospital, an acute-care facility with more than 130 beds, and Waccamaw Community Hospital, which operates with more than 170 beds. Georgetown Memorial Hospital features an ICU, cardiac and surgical services, labor and delivery, and a pediatric wing. Waccamaw Community Hospital, covering the northern part of the system's service area, provides 24-hour emergency services, obstetrics, and inpatient and outpatient surgery. The organization is led by CEO Bruce Bailey.
