Generex Biotechnology knows that needles can be a real pain for diabetics, so it has developed Oral-lyn, an oral insulin spray that allows the drug to be absorbed through the inside lining of the cheeks. Though the product has been approved for use in some developing countries, Oral-lyn is still undergoing clinical trials in the US. Generex also sells a line of over-the-counter energy and diet supplement glucose sprays available at retail stores and pharmacies in North America. The sprays are administered via Generex's handheld aerosol applicator RapidMist.
