Generex Biotechnology knows that needles can be a real pain for diabetics, so it has developed Oral-lyn, an oral insulin spray that allows the drug to be absorbed through the inside lining of the cheeks. Though the product has been approved for use in some developing countries, Oral-lyn is still undergoing clinical trials in the US. Generex also sells a line of over-the-counter energy and diet supplement glucose sprays available at retail stores and pharmacies in North America. The sprays are administered via Generex's handheld aerosol applicator RapidMist. Through its Antigen Express subsidiary, the company is developing vaccines for disease such as cancer, flu, and HIV.
