Its properties consist of resort hotels tethered closely to attractions that appeal to the meetings and conventions market. They include the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville; the Gaylord Palms Resort in Florida (close to Disney World); the Gaylord Texan Resort near Dallas; and the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center in the Washington, DC, area. Other holdings include the famous Grand Ole Opry and related attractions, the Ryman Auditorium, and the General Jackson Showboat. The company plans to convert to a REIT and sell its hotel brand and management business to Marriott.
