Italian engineer Achille Gaggia founded the company after developing a system that forced hot water over coffee grounds in 1938. The company also sells other kitchen and home products, such as coffee grinders, electric tea kettles, blenders, juicers, ice cream makers, irons, and vacuum cleaners.
