Company Description

GST AutoLeather supplies leather for automotive interior applications to many of the world's carmakers. Customers have included BMW, Ford, Honda, and Toyota. GST AutoLeather offers several types of leather, each of which can be customized with patterns, perforations, or other treatments. It  has two sales offices in the US, but production takes place in Argentina, China, the Dominican Republic, Japan, and Mexico. The GST in GST AutoLeather comes from Garden State Tanning, the company's former name. Advantage Partners, a Tokyo-based private equity firm, acquired GST AutoLeather in 2008. The company expanded its customer base in 2010 with the acquisition of Seton Company.
