Company Description

Frederick's of Hollywood Group makes big money out of little somethings. Initially formed by the merger of Frederick's of Hollywood and Movie Star, it sells intimates, wigs, hosiery, and dresses through its catalog division (which mails more than 13 million), website, and about 120 namesake stores in the US; it's also developing a presence in the Middle East. The manufacturer now soley focuses on its retail business. Years after acquiring Movie Star, the group shed the wholesaler, which made intimate apparel, sleepwear, leisurewear, and loungewear. Additionally, Frederick's of Hollywood Group in late 2010 sold off its wholesale unit to Dolce Vita Intimates amid declining revenues.
