France Telecom hopes it can do for telecommunications services what its countrymen have done for wine: make it the product of choice. The company provides fixed-line and wireless voice and data services, primarily through its Orange brand, to consumers and commercial clients. It serves about 190 million customers in 32 countries. France Telecom is a leading European wireless operator and broadband service provider, with about 130 million mobile customers and 13 million broadband subscribers. It also has 46 million wireline customers.  The company's services for corporate clients are provided by its Orange Business Services unit, which offers a wide range of managed business networking and data services.
