While NZMP is the world's #1 supplier of industrial dairy ingredients, Fonterra Brands produces fluid milk, yogurt, cheese, and ice cream for consumers. Its products (both industrial and consumer) are sold worldwide. Fonterra also operates more than 55 RD1 rural supply stores in New Zealand. Fonterra represents some 10,500 dairy farmers who supply the cooperative with 14 billion liters of milk each year.
