Flagler Development Group flags down the commercial and industrial space that Florida businesses seek. The real estate firm develops, owns, and manages more than 12 million sq. ft. of leasable space mainly in metropolitan areas of Jacksonville, Lakeland, Miami, Orlando, and Tampa; many of its assets are Class-A office properties. Its portfolio also includes leasable retail and mixed-use space. It has an additional 1 million sq. ft. under construction and owns some 1,600 acres of land throughout the state. In 2006 former parent Florida East Coast Industries (FECI) acquired Codina Group, a family-owned commercial development firm serving South Florida, and merged it with Flagler to round out its service offerings.
