Fiskars Brands is fairly frisky in its old age. The company is the North American manufacturing and marketing subsidiary of Finland's Fiskars Corporation -- the second-oldest incorporated business in the world, having celebrated some 360 anniversaries. Orange-handled scissors are a signature item for consumers, but Fiskars Brands' namesake line also includes garden tools (such as pruners, reel mowers, and axes), craft tools (hand drills, punches), school and office supplies (child-sized scissors, rulers, and trimmers). It also makes ergonomic cutting tools for the garden as part of its PowerGear line, scissors and shears for sewing and quilting under the Gingher name, and outdoor cutting tools by Gerber.
