The company also has retail chains under the brand name Mobile City in Hong Kong and Malaysia. First Mobile Group's distribution network has operations across China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Taiwan. US subsidiary First Telecom USA distributes Motorola , Samsung , Sony Ericsson , Nokia and LG phones. First Mobile sold 5.8 million phones in 2007, up from 5.5 million in 2006. Executive chairman Ng Kok Hong and his spouse own about 31% of the firm. Malaysian company NKT Holdings, which is owned by executive deputy chairman Ng Kok Tai and his spouse, owns 30% of First Mobile Group.
