Don't come to this Firestone looking for that spare tire. A subsidiary of tire giant Bridgestone's Bridgestone Americas, Firestone Diversified Products handles many of the non-tire aspects of Bridgestone's business, including building and roofing products, air springs (for trucks, trailers, and industrial applications), natural and synthetic rubber products, and fibers and textiles. Though it doesn't make tires itself, Firestone Diversified does supply its parent and others with both natural and synthetic rubber with which the tires are manufactured. In 2009 Bridgestone renamed the company (formerly called BFS Diversified Products) to better identify it as part of the Firestone diversified operations. To read the full description, subscribe now.
