Company Description
The fur flies off the auction block at Saga Sales Oyj (formerly Finnish Fur Sales). The international auction house trades primarily in raw fur skins, including mink, fox, raccoon, and lamb. Saga Furs buys its furs mostly from breeders in Nordic and Central Europe. The company holds a handful of auctions each year. The majority of clients, consisting of fur brokers, manufacturers, and representatives of the fashion and textile industries, hail from Europe, Russia, and the Far East. The company also operates subsidiaries in Finland and the Netherlands. The Finnish Fur Breeders' Association, who owns the largest stake in the company, founded Saga Furs in 1938.
