As Channel Four Television 's feature film subsidiary, FilmFour develops and co-finances such titles as 2004's Oscar-winning The Motorcycle Diaries, based on the journals of Latin American revolutionary Che Guevara. FilmFour in 2005 signed a deal with Oscar-winning director Peter Jackson (The Lord of the Rings trilogy) to produce a film version of Alice Sebold's best-selling novel The Lovely Bones.
