Automaker Fiat sent its truck and farm equipment group down a different road when it established Fiat Industrial in January 2011. Fiat Industrial consists of agricultural and construction equipment manufacturer CNH Global, truck and commercial vehicle manufacturer Iveco, and engine manufacturer FPT Industrial (formerly Fiat Powertrain Technologies). CNH Global, which makes heavy machinery under the Case, Kobelco, New Holland, and Steyr brands, is the group's largest segment. Iveco makes commercial trucks, construction vehicles, buses, and fire trucks under the Astra, Irisbus, and Magirus brands. The group generates almost half of its sales in Europe. Like Fiat, its largest shareholder is EXOR, with a 30% stake.
