The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) wants to help save lives on the highways. Part of the US Department of Transportation, the agency focuses on reducing bus and truck-related crashes, injuries, and fatalities. FMCSA develops and enforces safety regulations for motor carriers, as well as provides safety education and outreach for passenger car and truck drivers, pedestrians, and bicyclists.
