The bank's members, who are also stockholders and customers, include more than 1,200 financial institutions in its five-state district of Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, North Dakota, and South Dakota. Membership is primarily comprised of commercial banks (about 85%), but also thrifts, credit unions, and insurance agencies.
