Company Description

Faurecia is one of Europe's largest automotive seat makers. In addition to car seats, it also manufactures exhaust systems, vehicle interiors and doors, and front-end systems. Although Europe accounts for 75% of sales, it supplies most major carmakers, including GM, Ford, Mercedes, BMW, and Volkswagen. Faurecia also owns Faurecia Exhaust Systems and took over EMCON Technologies in 2010 -- both are US-based makers of emission control technologies. Bertrand Faure and ECIA, a Peugeot S.A. subsidiary, merged in 1999 to create Faurecia. Peugeot is Faurecia's largest customer, followed by Renault-Nissan. Faurecia's CEO seat has been hard to keep filled, turning over the title three times in less than five years.
