FTD Group (formerly Mercury Man Holdings) is the holding company for operating subsidiary FTD, Inc., which was established in 1910. FTD Group was formed in 2003 when Green Equity Investors, a business unit of Leonard Green & Partners , acquired the company for about $420 million. The company went public in early 2005.
