Each day ExxonMobil Pipeline, the oil and gas transportation arm of Exxon Mobil, transports about 2.7 million barrels of crude oil, refined petroleum products, liquefied petroleum gases, natural gas liquids, and chemicals through 8,000 miles of pipeline that runs through 23 US states, Canada, and the Gulf of Mexico. The company also provides engineering and inspection services. Its joint interest pipelines include Mustang Pipeline, Plantation Pipe Line, and Wolverine Pipe Line. ExxonMobil Pipeline also owns a minority stake in The Trans-Alaska Pipeline System, Alaska's major vehicle for moving crude from Prudhoe Bay to the port of Valdez.
