European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company (EADS) succeeds in commercial and military aerospace and related services. Considered Europe's largest supplier, it rivals Boeing in the competitive skies. EADS' largest segment is Airbus: its commercial division ranks among the top two makers of large commercial aircraft (seats 100-plus passengers), while its military division manufactures transport tankers and mission aircraft. Other segments include Eurocopter civil/military helicopters (holds a 33% world market share); Astrium's satellites and launcher systems; and Cassidian's defense and security business that makes combat aircraft, missile systems, radar, defense electronics, and unmanned aerial systems (UAS).
