Eurasian Natural Resources Corporation (ENRC) capitalizes on the resource-rich area of Kazakhstan, between Russia and China, for its diverse metals and mining operations. Other assets are in Brazil, China, Russia, and parts of Africa. With six divisions, ENRC covers almost every aspect of production: exploration, mining, processing, power generation, rail transportation, and marketing. Operations include mining and processing chrome, manganese, and iron; smelting ferroalloys; producing iron ore concentrate and pellet; mining and processing bauxite for alumina (used to produce aluminum); and producing copper and cobalt. It also extracts coal and generates electricity. Founding executives own almost half of ENRC.
