Company Description
Kazakhstan is strategically located between Russia and China, and the Eurasian Natural Resources Corporation (ENRC) capitalizes on its resource-rich area. ENRC is a metals and mining company that covers every aspect of production: exploration, mining, processing, power generation, rail transportation, and even marketing. The company is divided into five segments: The ferro-alloy and iron ore units both serve the steel industry, and the other three segments are aluminum, energy (to power the other divisions), and logistics (to provide freight and rail lines for the other divisions). The ferro-alloy division is the world's largest producer of ferrochrome. Its founding executives own almost half of ENRC.
