Company Description
Ensign Energy Services is an oil field service company in command of several service fleets. Formerly named Ensign Resource Service Group, the company is one of Canada's top land-based drilling and well-service contractors and a leading drilling contractor in the US Rocky Mountain region. It operates in California and in several foreign oil patches. Ensign has a fleet of 340 drilling rigs, including almost 140 well-servicing rigs and coiled-tubing units. It also provides wireline, rig transportation, and manufacturing services, and rents rigs and related equipment. In 2010 the company had about 60 rigs in operation outside of North America.
