Company Description

Enel Green Power has a plan to turn all the earth's elements into energy. The renewable energy arm of Italian power company Enel operates wind farms and hydroelectric power plants, and to a smaller extent, solar power installations and geothermal (steam) power plants. The company is also developing two biomass plants in Italy. Altogether, Enel Green Power operates more than 600 plants in about 15 countries in Europe and the Americas and boasts an installed capacity of more than 6,000 MW. (Enel Green Power North America accounts for less than 10% of sales). Subsidiary Enel.si runs the retail division that installs residential solar power systems for some 12,000 customers in Italy.
