Company Description

The plant's sign now says "EI" instead of "IBM," and a lot fewer people work there compared with decades ago, but other than that, it's business as usual -- making printed circuit boards and semiconductor packages for a variety of electronic products. Endicott Interconnect Technologies (EI) was established by a local investor group in 2002 to purchase surplus facilities from IBM, which was looking to trim headcount and overhead at the time. The investors include the Maines family, owners of MAINES Paper & Food Service in nearby Conklin. In addition to packaging chips and building boards, Endicott Interconnect provides a number of manufacturing and technical services for complex electronic assemblies.
