Do it again, under a different name? EnCore Oil, formerly Oil Quest Resources, and before that Hereward Ventures, explores for hydrocarbons in the UK. The company focuses on the UK Central North Sea and UK onshore regions. It also has offshore operations in Ireland and Western Sahara. In 2010 the company had stakes in 11 offshore licenses on the UK Continental Shelf, two in Ireland, and one in Western Sahara. To raise cash and to focus on its core operations, in 2010 EnCore Oil sold its EnCore (E&P) Limited unit (which had stakes in two licenses in France) to fellow oil and gas explorer Egodon Resources for about $165,000.
