Company Description

A leading natural gas exploration and production company, it has proved reserves of 14.3 trillion cu. ft. of natural gas and holds approximately 11.7 million net acres of land in Canada and the US. Its prolific gas plays include the Bighorn Deep Basin in western Alberta, the Piceance Basin in Colorado, the Jonah play in Wyoming, and the Haynesville Shale play in Texas. One of the largest natural gas producers in North America, Encana produces more than 3 billion cu. ft. of natural gas per day. The company's other operations include the transportation and marketing of its natural gas and liquids production.
