AMR has more than 3,300 contracts with clients (cities, government agencies, health care providers, and insurance firms) in some 38 states for emergency and non-emergency transport services. EmCare holds more than 550 staffing and service contracts with hospitals and physician groups in 40 states. The company was taken private by Clayton Dubilier & Rice in 2011.
