For college-bound high school students, taking the SAT is as much a rite of passage as getting a driver's license. Educational Testing Service (ETS), which creates and administers the Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT), is the world's largest private testing and research organization. The not-for-profit group develops and administers more than 50 million achievement, admissions, and professional tests a year. In addition to the SAT, ETS develops other tests, including Advanced Placement (AP) exams, CLEP, GSAT, GRE, and TOEFL.
