Company Description
Edinburg Citrus Association (ECA) is a cooperative of about 200 grapefruit and orange growers in the Rio Grande Valley. It provides growing, harvesting, and packing assistance to its member/owners, which operate 5,000 acres of citrus production land. Subsidiary Texas Citrus Exchange (TCX) markets the produce under the Texas Star, Tropic Valley, Tropic Moon, and Mission Pride brands. TCX also produces citrus juice, as well as other fruit juices, which is sold under the Big Tex and Texsun brands, as well as private labels.ECA was formed by area growers in 1968.
