Ecolab cleans up by cleaning up. The company offers cleaning, sanitation, pest-elimination, and maintenance products and services to hospitality, institutional, and industrial customers. Its Cleaning and Sanitizing unit is its largest, accounting for half of sales, and serves hotels, schools, and commercial and institutional laundries; its Kay unit provides cleaning supplies to quick-service restaurants. Other units focus on products for textile care, water care, health care, food and beverage, and pest control. Part of Ecolab's strategy is to market to its customers with products and services from all of its business segments. Its International unit does almost half of its business, operating in 72 countries.
