Echo, a subsidiary of Japan's Kioritz Corporation, offers a full line of trimmers and brush cutters, power edgers, power blowers, chain saws, hedge clippers, power pruners, and sprayers as well as attachments, engine drills, pumps, and safety accessories sold worldwide through more than 20 distributors. Founded in 1972 as Kioritz Corporation of America, Echo engineered the world's first hand-held power blower. In 2009 the company merged with outdoor power equipment maker Shindaiwa.
