Taiwan's EVA Airways flies passengers and cargo to some 45 cities around the globe. The carrier operates a mixed fleet of about 52 jets (including the recent addition of 15 Boeing 777s). It contracted with cargo carrier World Airways in 2004 to fly some of EVA's routes. In December 2005 the airline announced it was forming a cargo joint venture (through subsidiaries Sinoprime and Juniper Estate) with Shanghai Airlines dubbed Shanghai International Freight Airlines. EVA keeps its passengers in touch with email technology courtesy of OnAir, a joint venture between Airbus and SITA INC.
