EMS Technologies' wireless systems can help you communicate, whether you're walking the warehouse floor or floating in space. The company's LXE unit provides rugged mobile computers and wireless networks for logistics and other applications. EMS also makes engineered hardware for civilian and military applications through its Defense & Space (D&S) unit. Its Aviation unit makes data communications equipment that provides Internet, video conferencing, and other capabilities on aircraft. Global Tracking provides tracking and mapping products and services for transport and emergency operations. Customers in the US account for more than two-thirds of sales. In 2011 Honeywell bought EMS for about $491 million.
